Updates for Scottish, West and Centenary Cups
The Scottish Cup
The Scottish Cup has now reached the 1/4 final stage and we are proud to report the SAFL has the largest representation of any Amateur League left in the competition.
Our congratulations go to Alba Thistle, Castlemilk B.C. and St. Joseph's FP all of whom have done a great job in reaching this stage.
Unfortunately Alba have been drawn at home to Castlemilk and although it guarantees at least one semi finalist, it also means one of our 1/4 finalists will exit the competition. Good luck to both clubs in what promises to be a closely run tie.
St Joseph's have been drawn at home against Colville Park E. This will be a real test for St Joe's but i'm sure they'll be right up for it and home advantage could be decisive in this tie. Our best wishes will be with them on the day.
Games are scheduled for Saturday 2nd March with 2pm kick offs. See website for venues and confirmed kick off times.
West of Scotland Cup
Congratulations to Oban Saints who have reached the 1/4 finals of The West.
Oban's 5-2 defeat of Neilston AFC saw them advance to the 1/4 finals of the West where they have been drawn at home to Cambria.
Oban will go into this tie as slight favourites but will have to be wary of their opponents who knocked out Goldenhil in the last round.
This Friday night sees the first semi final of The Centenary Trophy take place at Toryglen between Goldenhill and Kings Park Rangers.
If you'd like to attend, the kick off time is 8pm.
The other semi will take place at a later date and will be contested by Motherwell Thistle and St Joseph's.
